There are certain tasks that you can and you should do on your own. Other tasks, those that do not need special care and attention, can be scheduled to take place automatically. You can do this with the Taskware-developed WinTask application. You can give your productivity a speed boost by using this application to schedule and automatically perform a variety of tasks.

To install WinTask on your Windows PC, you must download an executable, run it, then follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. Said setup wizard will ask you to pick between a complete installation (all program features will be installed) and a custom installation (choose which program features you want installed and where they will be installed). When it’s done installing WinTask, the wizard asks to launch the program, show the Windows Automation Quick Start Guide, and show the Web Automation Quick Start Guide.

The script you’re working on is presented front and center on WinTask’s interface. At the top there are buttons and menus for accessing all the functionality WinTask has to offer. Speaking about functionality, you can use WinTask to create scripts and record macros and thus automate a variety of tasks. You can use the application to run tasks that don’t need user intervention or maintenance tasks that can be run during the night. You can, for example, set up a defragment drives at night, then shut down the PC task if you want to.

There are three WinTask editions to choose from: WinTask Lite, WinTask, and WinTask x64. WinTask Lite, which comes with the least amount of features, is not free. None of these editions is free. They can be easily installed on a Windows-powered machine, then used for evaluation purposes for a trial period of 30 days.

Don’t waste time on repetitive, unimportant tasks that only waste your time. Use WinTask to have them be performed automatically.

Pros

There are three WinTask editions to choose from. There are comprehensive QuickStart guides and tutorials. Some sample scripts are included with the application. Use WinTask to automate and schedule a variety of tasks.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day trial period.
